WP6: Stakeholder Involvement, evaluation, follow up activities

Description: For a successful implementation of (pilot) activities and for achieving durable results and political sustainability the integration of local, regional and national stakeholders will be of major importance in all stages of the project cycle. Therefore measures for stakeholder involvement, training and awareness raising are foreseen in this Work Package. This will be complemented by addressing the transnational as well as EU Level in order to disseminate results of the project, communicate common policy recommendations and further support the Danube Strategy process. Upon results of pilot activities follow-up financing bodies and institutions shall be addressed to ensure continuing financing for next steps in the regions and on transnational level if deemed necessary. Towards the end of the project possible common follow-up activities shall be discussed, key points defined and the 2014+ ETC-process closely monitored to be informed about further transnational cooperation possibilities.

Activity 6.2. Regional and national stakeholder involvement, training and awareness raising

During 04.03 - 07.03.2013, INCDT’s team members have travelled in Moldova Noua - Orşova - Calafat, for information and documentation in the project TRANSDANUBE. On this occasion, general discussions were held on the general objectives of the project TTRANSDANUBE and the possibility of involving local authorities to support sustainable mobility projects on the Danube river. The INCDT team also had discussions about existing tourist resources / objectives and development opportunities for each locality, on the situation of the prepared projects and their implementation status, the existing planning documentation, analysis of tourism development failures and malfunctions of the places visited.

During 04.03 - 07.03.2013, INCDT’s team members have travelled in Tulcea – Luncavita – Macin – Greci for establishing contacts with local authorities in Tulcea County on tourism development opportunities. INCDT team made field trips to visit tourist objectives for the development of intermodal transport and tourism, Tulcea Tourist Port discussed the special problems of tourists and locals mobility in the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve.

The National Institute for Research and Development in Tourism present to the Romanian Tourism Fair, November 14th – 17th 2013, Bucharest to promote TRANSDANUBE project.

The National Institute for Research and Development in Tourism participated to the Romanian Tourism Fair, organized in the period November 14th – 17th in Bucharest. The Romanian Tourism Fair organized by ROMEXPO, reaches a high interest from tourism stakeholders in Romania and around the world. Together with the National Tourism Authority, as strategic partner, the National Institute for Research and Development in Tourism disseminated the main results of the TRANSDANUBE project to all the visitors interested in tourism mobility and sustainable transport along the Danube.
